Painted over a couple of sessions on location from the traffic island in Elm Road in Leigh on Sea. I’d spotted this view a few weeks before when I painted a similar view from a different position which I’d sold straight from the easel. Walking back to the car I noticed this view from further back with the contrasts between the strappy leaves of the phormiums in the foreground and the shapes of the buildings along Elm Road.

The painting will arrive suitably protected in a cardboard package.
